Great stay, great place

There were a number of cleanliness issues. Some areas (bathroom, bedroom) were totally clean. The kitchen slash living room area however had multiple food spills on walls. Not stains but spills. Like still sticky. Some wallpaper was peeling or had fallen off and there were cockroaches. Lots of cockroaches in the kitchen. It’s hard for me to imagine how cleaners didn’t handle this or that roaches were new given the quantity. Host was responsive to complaints and offered to move me but alternate accommodations were tiny or too far away. In the end they offered 15-20% discount but imo given the state of things that was not sufficient. On the other hand, place’s layout was really nice and for where I needed to be location was great. If you book close to this review time I would make sure they’ve thoroughly addressed the cleanliness issue and had an exterminator come, with a little work this place should be lovely, but pictures are much brighter and cleaner than the current state

Great stay

we left the apartment after one night due to issues with bugs / overall cleanliness of the apartment. i think this would be a cool apartment but needs a proper upkeep/overhaul to match the pictures. on the upside the communication with StayPortland was overall positive and forthcoming so at least the cancellation and crediting went smooth

host was good & very responsive! quick to attend to my needs & place was cozy :) i enjoyed my stay!

This condo was located about 15 to 20 minutes drive from downtown and 5 to 10 minutes to vibrant neighborhoods in the eastern part of Portland like Hawthorne street and Woodstock street. You can easily walk to the commerce area on Foster Street with some nice restaurants. There's no dedicated car parking but parking was always easy on the side streets. The condo itself had one bedroom and a main room that functioned as a living room and kitchen. There was a small table that you could for eating or work. Communication with the host was easy, checkin was simple, and we requested a few extra towels which they happily left for us. There were a few stains on the sofa (not a big deal) and we did notice a few bugs in the place. But nothing that we haven't dealt with before (especially apartment living in a major city where one unit keeps things clean but other units might not be). But folks who are squeamish about bugs might take note of that. We would stay there again.

Overall nice stay ! Bathroom/tub could be a bit cleaner but besides that I enjoyed the home.
