We had a great time! The location was perfect - we could walk to many bars, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Getting into downtown was a quick trek - only about 10-15 minutes and the airport is nearby as well. The house was super cute, clean, and had everything we needed. James was a great host and was so responsive and helpful. One of my friends arrived earlier and messaged James for an early check in and was able to do so which was super helpful. We appreciated the flexibility. Thank you for a lovely stay!
We really enjoyed staying here! Its very spacious with large bedrooms all with comfortable big beds. The only thing that I was surprised about was that the house next door has been converted into a bar. It looked like a really cool place but Saturday night was noisy with people at the bar till late. Thankfully the noise on other nights weren't really an issue. Its an old house that has been really nicely renovated and our host was great!
Great location. Parking takes a minute, as it's in an area where some blocks have time limits - but was never a huge problem. Just don't expect to have a spot always waiting for you right in front. It's an older house, so some of the doors are a bit tricky - and it can be cold - but there are heaters built into all the bedrooms. Easy to walk to shops and the grocery store, and close to major streets if you need to drive somewhere. All-in-all an easy base to explore the city from.
Great location. Walking distance to fun bars and restaurants.
We loved staying at this property for the Portland marathon! The home was very large and easily fit all 6 of our guests, and they had no complaints about the stay.
Great place. Would highly recommend to those looking for something walkable in Portland.
We stayed here for a wedding weekend with 6 guests. Everyone was happy with the accommodations (beds are super comfy!) and we were pleased to find plenty of options within walking distance for brunch, drinks, and thrift shopping. Overall perfect experience!
Very clean and recently remodeled space. Had everything we needed, and beds were comfortable. But for the price, I was a little disappointed by how sparsely it was furnished, and by minor details like several door handles being loose and falling off on bathrooms and bedrooms. There was also a lot of noise from the bar next door at night.
Excellent location, thoughtful interior design, and comfortable beds. As other reviewers have noted, the place is a little loud between the bar next door and lack of insulation with upstairs neighbors. But all in all it was a great place to stay in a walkable location and I appreciated the responsiveness of the hosts.
Great place, spacious and open which we really enjoyed. There were 5 of us staying and were comfortable with plenty of space to move around. The neighbors upstairs are a little noisy first thing in the morning, with lots of movement going on, but it wasn’t enough to make us not want to come back. We really enjoyed this place as it was easy to get to the bus stations, walking to nearby food, entertainment. Others have mentioned the bar next door. This did not bother us. We went over for a drink and talked with folks out on the benches throughout our stay. Would stay here again for sure.
