Austin was great! He was very helpful and responsive. He also granted me an extra day extension, in which I really needed it at the time. If I’m ever in Portland, Oregon I know where to book my Airbnb.
This place was great and worth what we paid for. Austin is a wonderful host who was always responsive when we had questions. The area had wonderful restaurants and shops within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again
First/only Airbnb that made me consider getting a hotel instead. It’s on a SKETCHY industrial corner—photos look nice, but reality is cheap, worn dorm furniture in a rundown unit. Parking is 4 blocks away, which normally wouldn’t be a big deal, except you walk through homeless encampments at night. When we arrived, Wi-Fi didn’t work—took 4 hrs to fix. Bedroom has had NO ELECTRICITY for OVER A YEAR per reviews; I confirmed twice it’d be fixed, host ignored me. How can you run an Airbnb with literally no light in the bedroom?? Living room lights flicker constantly—makes you wonder if this “finished” basement is even permitted. Neighborhood feels unsafe and unwelcoming. Host’s replies feel AI-generated (likely ChatGPT), impersonal & deflective, with zero accountability. Then he tried to sway my review by asking for 5 stars and to “share issues privately” instead of warning future guests (shady). This feels like slumlord behavior at its worst. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND to anyone I care about.
The weeds outside were annoying to maneuver around, but the inside was very nice and looked exactly like the pictures. The master bedroom power went out at the beginning of our stay, and I had to ask about it a couple times, only to find out that it was not going to be fixed.
I have really mixed feelings about this rental. First, the good: Spacious. Really clean. Responsive host. Comfortable beds and AC. There were some minor issues that Austin had fixed right away. (But one major issue was never fixed.) The not so good: it wasn’t super convenient for food in the evenings. A few blocks walk but as a female traveling alone, it was farther than I wanted to go at night with homeless tents and RVs in every direction. The really bad: There was no electricity in the bedroom. No lights, no electrical outlets. I let him know several times but it wasn’t fixed during my five day stay. Apparently it’s been an issue for months but wasn’t disclosed in the listing or check-in. I learned about it in reviews after I arrived. He even had me checking for breakers like it would do any good. Nope. For a basement apartment on a busy street, no lights meant getting dressed in the dark and that my alarm (phone) charged in a different room. Not okay in a sketchy neighborhood.
Austin is a great host! Would stay here again!
nice
Great stay, only thing is outside there was a homeless man I believe. But other than that it was good.
Austin was a wonderful host he had gotten back to me withen minutes! Even though he wasn’t able to extend my stay due to schedule he had helped me with finding another property right in time conveniently
I had an amazing time at my stay here, I heavily recommend!
